Some of My Favorite Artists

Recently I've been listening to a lot of music as I work, drive, clean the house...etc. Here are a few of my current favorite artists and some samples of their music:

Bryan Sutton
An incredible guitarist who dabbles in many different styles, but is probably best known for his bluegrass flatpicking. I picked up a guitar about a week ago, so Bryan's playing is really motivational for me right now!

Alison Brown
She is one of most talented banjo players on the music stage today. Her group tends toward the more jazzy styles (which I actually like).

Annie Moses Band
I was introduced to this Christian group just a few weeks ago, and I really love their music. Stylistically, they vary from folk to blues, classical to celtic - they're very ecclectic.

This is a really beautiful song from one of their albums:

Hans Zimmer
He ranks in my top three composers for film. I especially enjoy his scores for the Pirates of the Carribean.

James Newton Howard
Howard is another of my favorite film composers. His score for The Village is brilliant.

Sweet music Benji! I think I like the 'Gravel Road' the best. :)
